Read on for some of the best glampsites in the UK.

Mallory Meadows, Leicestershire
Mallory Meadows is a rural glamping site in Leicestershire. It’s home to rustic wooden cabins and roundhouses, some of which are dog friendly.
Mallory Meadows is on the higher end of the scale when it comes to luxury. We stayed in one of the wood cabins which is ideal for a romantic retreat for two (plus your furry friend!).
With country cottage decor, a cosy open-plan living room, dining area, and bedroom, and a private hot tub, this cabin has everything you need for a fabulous stay.

Braidhaugh Holiday Park, Crieff
With a lovely location on the outskirts of the quaint town of Crieff, Braidhaugh Holiday Park has a few different camping pod options. We stayed in a superior en-suite pod overlooking the river.
Each luxury glamping pod can sleep up to four people and is dog friendly. Everything is provided, you just need to bring your own bedding.
Outside there’s a wood-fired hot tub and a fire pit/BBQ for cooking dinner or warming up. Half of the fun is building the fire for the hot tub!

Dukeries Retreat, Nottinghamshire
If you love spending time outside then Dukeries Retreat is the one for you. With an outdoor kitchen, seating area and wood fired hot tub which is all under cover, you can cook and eat enjoying the sunshine or looking out at the stars.
Inside the yurts are super cosy with a double bed and electric heater. There’s also a private bathroom in a cabin outside.
The site is dog friendly and there’s the perfect place to walk your pooch in the field just next door.

Aspects Holidays, Cornwall
We stayed in a cosy little shepherd’s hut on a farm in West Cornwall with Aspects Holidays. The hut was perfect for romantic retreats and is decorated really cutely inside.
The kitchen had everything you needed and I was obsessed with the cottage core aesthetic in there. The bathroom was super quirky with a relcaimed tin tub for the shower and a similar one for the sink.
Outside there’s a table and chairs where you can sit and admire the views over the rolling countryside down to the sea. It’s also a great spot for exploring West Cornwall – there is so much to see and do nearby.

Landpods at YHA Treyarnon Bay, Cornwall
For some more basic glamping in Cornwall, try the Landpods at YHA Treyarnon Bay. Landpods sleep up to four people on raised sleeping platforms with storage underneath.
Staying in a Landpod is just like camping, but with some nice added extras. Bedding is included, there’s LED lighting and a cosy seating area where you can relax after a day of exploring.
Guests can use the hostel’s facilities like the self-catering kitchen, social areas and the bathrooms. The Landpods are dog friendly so you can bring your pooch too.
The very best thing about YHA Treyarnon Bay is its fantastic location. It’s right on the beach so you can enjoy sunsets, sea dips, and a wander with a coffee each morning on the coast.

Great Langdale Campsite, Lake District
The National Trust campsite at Great Langdale is my favourite campsite in the Lake District. I’ve stayed there a couple of times with my own tent and now they also have wooden camping pods.
We stayed in one that slept four people with two beds at the front of the pod and a room at the back. I would recommend booking this one, even if there are just two of you, as we used the back room for storage and it was really useful.
Bring everything with you that you would usually take camping including cooking equipment and bedding. The pods are really warm and cosy as they have heating, so they are a great alternative to tents in the colder months.

The Quiet Site, Lake District
The Quiet Site is one of the Lake District’s most sustainable glamping sites with a range of glamping options plus camper van and caravan pitches. There are dog friendly options too.
We stayed in a Gingerbread House, a gorgeous wooden cabin with a Scandinavian feel. You need to bring all your camping stuff with you – bedding, plates, cutlery, cups, etc – but this only makes it feel more like an outdoor adventure.
The cabins are really warm and have all the facilities you need inside including a kitchen and en-suite bathroom. Outside, there’s a BBQ platform and picnic benches so you can make the most of the glorious views over Ullswater.

Round The Woods, Norfolk
We stayed in Hazelnut Yurt at Round The Woods, one of the best glamping stays I’ve done. The yurt had a wood burner which you could use for heating, cooking, and boiling the kettle, and it made it really cosy inside.
The yurt was really spacious inside and it was situated on the edge of a wildflower meadow so there was plenty of outside space. There’s also a BBQ and a communal fire pit.
Each yurt has its own shower cubicle, in a separate building made from a recycled shipping container.
During our stay it rained overnight and the sound of the rain on the top of the yurt was so romantic. There were also fairy lights inside.

Wensum Glamping, Norfolk
One of my friends hired out the whole of Wensum Glamping for her hen party. It’s a field of gorgeous glamping yurts set in the Norfolk countryside.
The yurts are quite basic inside but have wood burners for boiling kettles, double beds, and two single futons. The toilet block is a little walk away and there is also a freezer on site where you can store food.
There’s no electricity in the yurts but you can plug your phone in to charge in the freezer block. There are BBQs too and benches for guests to use.

The Hobbit Retreat, Cheshire
If you’re looking for somewhere super quirky to stay then try The Hobbit Retreat in Cheshire. This wooden cabin is set on its own in a field with a toilet and shower in an additional building, just outside.
It’s super cute with round doors to climb through to get in and through to the bedroom. Inside, there’s a double bed and little living area with a sofa. Outside, guests can use the BBQ to cook dinner.

Bainland Lodge Retreats, Lincolnshire
Bainland Lodge Retreats is one of my favourite glamping stays. We stayed in one of the two person Lakeside Hunting Retreats which are dog friendly.
Perfect for a romantic retreat, they have an outside decking area overlooking the lake which is a great spot for enjoying a morning coffee. There’s also a hot tub here so you can get in and stargaze at night time.
Inside the decor is rustic and cosy with tan leather furniture and lots of wood. The crockery is all Le Creuset which I am a massive fan of.
I’m actually not even sure that you could call this glamping, it’s so luxurious!

Camping pods at YHA Brecon Beacons
YHA Brecon Beacons is another YHA site which offers glamping. These wooden pods are basic but comfortable and you can use all of the hostel’s facilities including the self-catering kitchen and toilets.
Bedding is provided in the camping pods and they have heaters so they’re really warm and cosy. Again, we did a winter stay here and we were very comfortable.
The pods are dog friendly.
