Heading to Ibiza on holiday this year? You might be wondering what to take with you.

I’ve been in exactly the same boat over the last few weeks, I’ve never done so much online ordering before!

If you’re also only travelling with hang luggage to save money on your flight (same here!) then it’s even more difficult to narrow down your Ibiza packing list.

Read on for my packing list for Ibiza.

Airport outfit

For your airport outfit, comfort is the most important thing. Leggings and a band t-shirt is a great shout for understated cool.

Be sure to take an extra layer too as it can sometimes be a little chilly on the plane.

I actually don’t mind wearing jeans on a flight, especially the one to Ibiza as it’s so short. I usually opt for a baggier pair of mom jeans and make sure that they’re not too tight on the waist.

I always travel in trainers just because they’re super comfy for wandering round airports. My faves at the moment are my New Balance 327 but you can’t go wrong with some Nike Airforce ones either.

If you’re flying with a hand luggage case only, you can usually also bring a larger bag too and I would go for a tote. It can double up as your beach bag when you get there.

A statement swimming costume

If you’re heading to a beach club during your trip then you’re going to need a stand out swimming costume. You’re going to want something fun and playful that you feel comfortable in for a day of sunbathing, dancing and drinks.

Think sequins, glitter, cut outs, etc! Now that I’m visiting Ibiza in my 30s I also like one which you can actually swim in, rather than just a posing one – but that’s up to you!

Don’t go for anything that has too much of a weird shape, especially if you’re going to a beach club near the beginning of your holiday, as you’ll end up with odd tanlines!

Beach cover up

To go alongside your statement swimwear, you’ll need a beach cover up. This can also just double as your outfit if you go straight from a beach club to dinner or a club.

In terms of style for beach cover ups, there are so many to choose from. Crochet is always a popular choice, or try a shorts and top co-ord for something more casual.

Wedges or platforms

Ditch the stilettos for your Ibiza holiday. You’re going to need something that you’re comfortable dancing til dawn in so go for a pair of wedges or platform heels.

If you’re going for a statement platform, choose a metallic like silver or gold and the rest of your outfit can be more understated and casual.

Denim shorts

Denim shorts are a staple for me no matter what sort of trip I’m going on. They’re so versatile.

They’ll go with anything and can be dressed down for the beach or dressed up for a night out. I never met a pair of denim shorts I didn’t like!

Now that I’m a little older, I like shorts which are a bit longer with a little more coverage. I go for a baggier style that go to mid thigh.

Chunky sandals

Chunky sandals are really popular at the moment and they’re perfect for day times in Ibiza. Not only are they comfortable for walking around San Antonio bay but they are also going to look great with your beach club outfit.

Also, if you don’t fancy wearing heels at night time, you can keep these on instead and they’ll take you straight through.

At the end of the day, try to remember that pretty much anything goes in Ibiza! They’ll be those who are dressed up to the nines and those that are more casual, so go for whatever you feel comfortable in and your own style.

You won’t look out of place and the most important thing is to have a fantastic time!
