Sometimes you just need a luxury holiday. One of those holidays where you can just relax, eat amazing food, soak up the sun and sip on amazing cocktails without doing very much at all. Maybe you’ve had a tough few months at work, or you’re going on your honeymoon, whatever the reason, here are five dream destinations for luxury holidays…

Burj Khalifa Dubai

1. Dubai

I’ve visited Dubai a couple of times as I was lucky enough to have a bestie whose dad lived out there and it really is the ultimate in luxury. From designer shops in Dubai’s malls and top notch restaurants to cool beach clubs and the super cars that you spot on a regular basis, it’s a millionaire’s playground.

For the ultimate in luxury, a stay at Fraser Suites Dubai is just the ticket. With serviced apartments and hotel rooms, this accommodation is all elegant interiors and all the modern conveniences you need plus amazing views of the city from your room.

2. The Maldives

We’ve all seen the pictures of the water bungalows in the sea and the pure white sands and when I think of luxury the Maldives really springs to mind. My bestie is planning a romantic break there this November and I am super jealous.

One of the most popular honeymoon destinations, the Maldives are all about relaxation. If you feel up to leaving your sun bed and cocktail, then you can go snorkelling or even diving in the crystal clear waters and take an island hopping boat trip.

3. Bali

Nothing says relaxing like a spot of yoga and Bali is the perfect location for this. This Indonesian island is well known for its scenic mountain landscapes and beautiful beaches. There are also plenty of luxury resorts and private villas with their own swimming pools – we’ve all seen the Instagram pictures!

If you want to mix a bit of exploring with your down time, visit the rice terraces, the Ubud Monkey Forest and Tanah Lot, an ancient Hindu sea temple. If you’re really active try sunrise yoga and learn to surf.

4. Riyadh

The capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, is sometimes described as an up and coming Dubai and the parallels come in the abundance of restaurants, the high class malls and the red sand dunes just 20 minutes’ drive outside the city. You can even do dune bashing here too!

For the ultimate in luxury serviced apartments in the city, try Fraser Suites Riyadh. With elegant decor, views of the city’s impressive skyline and free wi-fi, you might not even want to leave. For your chill time, there’s also a pool, sauna and steam room.

5. St Kitts

St Kitts in the Caribbean is a favourite holiday destination amongst the rich and famous and if it’s good enough for them, then frankly it’s good enough for me too! Known for it’s rainforests, mountains and black, grey and white sand beaches, there are five star resorts all over the island.

There’s nowhere that’s more laidback than the Caribbean (the saying island life is really true here!) and there are plenty of beaches to chill out on. Try the secluded Banana Bay for beautiful waters or Cockleshell Bay for water sports before indulging in a reggae style barbecue and some rum cocktails.
