It’s not all about tourism in London, however, as there are more than one million businesses in the capital of the UK. This means that people from other companies around the UK or the world may come here for a business trip as they look to complete business deals here. I often find myself visiting London for meetings.
If your work is taking you to London for a business trip, you’ll want to do everything you can to enjoy your time here and ensure everything goes to plan. Read on to find out my top tips for enjoying your London business trip.
Bring everything you need for the trip
First, make sure you have all your business equipment with you. The smallest items are usually the ones that we tend to forget the most easily, so make sure you pack your business cards, chargers, and small items first.
Once you’re confident you’ve packed everything you need for work, use the remaining space in your suitcase for your work-free moments.
Research what you can do in London when you’re free from work
There’s so much to do in the Big Smoke, from watching a live show to catching a huge sporting event. Be sure to do your research and see what events are on when you’ve finished working for the day and make the most of your time in London.
Ask for food recommendations after your business meeting
Following a business meeting, try making the atmosphere more friendly by asking for places to eat around the city. As your associates will most likely live here, they’ll know where to suggest. You may even ask some of them to join you to network and build relationships.
Visit all the tourist attractions
If it’s your first time visiting London, then you must use your spare time to be a tourist. Visit all of the main attractions and fall in love with London. Here are some of the main ones:
- Big Ben
- London Eye
- Madame Tussauds
- Buckingham Palace
- Tower of London
- Westminster Abbey
- The British Museum
London isn’t all business with no pleasure, which is why it’s such a great place to visit for a business trip. Make sure you plan ahead and follow my top tips to ensure you have the best time possible when you visit the capital.
