Most people don’t consider the UK when thinking of fun places to visit. Many people prefer to travel to a different country, but the UK has so much to offer! It’s diverse and has loads of things to see and do, especially if you can look past the rain for five minutes. Here are some of the biggest and best UK bucket list destinations if you want somewhere to go.

You’ll never run out of things to do in Devon. People just love it here thanks to the beautiful scenery and the fact that it’s quite close to the sea. You have Plymouth, Torquay, Exmouth, Dartmouth, and so many more places to visit. You can fish, go to festivals, relax on the beach, shop – there’s even nightlife. It’s a beautiful diverse place to be.

Birmingham doesn’t have the best reputation. While it isn’t the most beautiful place in the UK to visit, there’s definitely some cool things to do here. It has one of the best shopping centres in the UK. It also has things like the Sea Life centre, many pretty canals to wander along, and vintage shopping opportunities.

Liverpool is known as the city of culture for a reason. The Beatles originated here, and you can learn all about them on The Magical Mystery Tour bus. Not only that, there’s so much shopping to do. The city is just pretty with a great vibe and places to eat. It should be on everybody’s UK bucket list!

Manchester has an amazing vibe too, although you need to experience it to get what I mean. The Madchester scene obviously originates from here, so you can bet there are bars, pubs and clubs playing some amazing tunes if you’re coming for a night out. There’s shopping, food places, and even football stadiums to explore too.

Northumberland is one of the best places to visit if you’re looking for somewhere to chill out and explore. You can visit lots of medieval castles, which are bound to make your experience feel even more magical. You can even stay in posh hotels like Warkworth House Hotel. It’s a great place for walking and just enjoying the nature and scenery.

What would a UK bucket list be without London on the list? London is one of the most diverse places in the whole world – not just the UK! There are cultures of all kinds here, and people of all ethnicities and backgrounds. There are sites, like Buckingham palace and the London eye. Then there’s Madame Tussauds and a whole host of museums. You can even attend flea markets and cool things like that – Camden market is one of the best ever! I’d go as far as saying you need to visit a handful of times to get a feel for London. It’ll be different every time!

[…] Researches have said that these markings were made between 3800 BC and 1500 BC. However, they’re still unsure of the meaning behind them. Although I’ve visited Northumberland before, I actually missed out on these so I’m keen to tick these off my UK bucket list. […]
