Styling a white shirt
Everyone needs a few wardrobe classics and a white shirt is about as classic as it comes. Not only is it a classic but it’s also super versatile and can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. From the office in the day time to cocktails with the girls as night, a white shirt can pretty much cover any situation. Here’s how I style mine…
White shirt: GANT*, Jeans (we’ve all seen these before!): Joni from Topshop, Trainers: Converse, second hand from eBay
I wore my white shirt one night on our holiday at Bluestone Wales (keep your eyes peeled for that blog post later on in the week!) and kept it super casual with my all time favourite high-waisted skinny jeans (I think I may need a new pair, if only so I can stop posting OOTD with them in on Instagram!) and these Converse that I picked up nearly new from eBay. The place we stayed was really outdoors-y and there was a bit of a walk from our lodge to the pub but just switch up the Converse for some heels and you’ve got an outfit that’s perfect for dinner or drinks. I also tied my shirt at the bottom to make my legs look a little longer and, if you want to show a bit of tummy, you can tie it a little higher.
Other ways to style your white shirt
I didn’t take any pics of me in a bikini for this post as my beach body is not quite there yet but I love the idea of wearing a white shirt as a beach cover-up. Team it with a bikini top of your choice and some Mom shorts from Topshop that I became obsessed with at the Intu Victoria Centre event last weekend, and you’ve got the perfect outfit for late afternoon strolls on the shore.
For work I’d probably add a pencil skirt, Louboutins (I wish!) and a little jacket.
*My white shirt was provided by GANT for inclusion in this post.
