My 2020 travel plans

I love love love writing this post every January because it gives me chance to look at all my upcoming trips and to get excited about them! This year I think I might have more trips planned early than any other year – and some really exciting ones too! So read on to find out where I’m heading this year…
My first trip of 2020 and I can’t wait. We are going on an all inclusive package holiday which we don’t usually do but I’m really looking forward to just relaxing, eating and drinking after a busy few months. Also, some winter sun never goes amiss!
Scotland (press trip)
We’ll be heading to the highlands to stay in a couple of hotels near Edinburgh. We’ve been wanting to visit Edinburgh for the longest time – we actually had a trip booked there a couple of years ago which we had to cancel as our dog was poorly.
Wales (press trip)
We’re taking a dog friendly break with Alfie to explore ‘Paws in the Vale’ – miles and miles of beautiful beaches, wooded valleys and varied landscapes in the Vale of Glamorgan. We’re all looking forward to lots of trails and strolling along the dog friendly beaches.
We’ll be staying at the beautiful The Bear Hotel in the Vale of Glamorgan.

One Saturday I was at home by myself and I was feeling a little bit down. And do you know what I do when I’m down? I BOOK HOLIDAYS! I saw quite a few people talking about the Wowcher Mystery Breaks for £99 and I just booked one. I’ve heard mixed reports since but I loved the novelty of getting a surprise trip and we’ve never visited Prague before.

EDIT: Unfortunately Covid-19 hit the world in March 2020 and meant that I had to cancel a trip to the Lake District with a walking group, my dad’s 60th birthday present trip to the South of France and the Monaco Grand Prix, a hen do in Marbella AND my best friend’s wedding in Vegas and a California road trip. Hopefully we’ll get these rearranged for 2021 and more exciting plans in the calendar.
The Beachcroft Hotel & Beach Hut Suites (press trip)
I’m really excited as we have booked in our first post-Covid trip – a UK staycation of course. We’ll be staying at the Beachcroft Hotel’s Beach Hut Suites and taking Alfie with us as they are dog friendly. They look incredible – so cosy yet contemporary and completely in keeping a traditional beach hut look and they’re RIGHT on the beach at Bognor Regis.
I’m looking forward to a traditional British seaside holiday with walks on the beach in the fresh sea air and then relaxing on our terrace with a glass of fizz overlooking the sea and playing cards.

We are trying one of The Sun holidays for the first time ever! We’ll be staying on a caravan park with my boyf’s family and I’m hoping we’ll be doing all the traditional British seaside things – 2p machines, bingo and fish and chips on the beach. It’s been years since I’ve stayed in a caravan and I love them – they’re so cosy! We’ll also be taking Alfie with us for a dog friendly break.
Norfolk (press trip)
At the beginning of lockdown I said that Norfolk was top of my UK staycation bucket list and my prayers have been answered as I’ve been invited to stay at Round the Woods, a luxurious glamping site situated in a Norfolk nature reserve. We’ll be staying in one of these beautiful yurts and hopefully visited some of Norfolk’s beautiful coastline as well as the Norfolk Broads.

Do you have any suggestions of things I can’t miss in the places I’m visiting this year? Let me know in the comments.
