My 2020 travel plans

I love love love writing this post every January because it gives me chance to look at all my upcoming trips and to get excited about them! This year I think I might have more trips planned early than any other year – and some really exciting ones too! So read on to find out where I’m heading this year…

My first trip of 2020 and I can’t wait. We are going on an all inclusive package holiday which we don’t usually do but I’m really looking forward to just relaxing, eating and drinking after a busy few months. Also, some winter sun never goes amiss!

We stayed at the Sunlight Bahia Principe Tenerife. Book your stay here and read my hotel review here.

Scotland (press trip)

We’ll be heading to the highlands to stay in a couple of hotels near Edinburgh. We’ve been wanting to visit Edinburgh for the longest time – we actually had a trip booked there a couple of years ago which we had to cancel as our dog was poorly.

We’ll be staying and eating at The Stair Arms Hotel and The Elphinstone Hotel.

Read my review of The Stair Arms here and The Elphinstone Hotel here.

The Bear Hotel

Wales (press trip)

We’re taking a dog friendly break with Alfie to explore ‘Paws in the Vale’ – miles and miles of beautiful beaches, wooded valleys and varied landscapes in the Vale of Glamorgan. We’re all looking forward to lots of trails and strolling along the dog friendly beaches.

We’ll be staying at the beautiful The Bear Hotel in the Vale of Glamorgan.

One Saturday I was at home by myself and I was feeling a little bit down. And do you know what I do when I’m down? I BOOK HOLIDAYS! I saw quite a few people talking about the Wowcher Mystery Breaks for £99 and I just booked one. I’ve heard mixed reports since but I loved the novelty of getting a surprise trip and we’ve never visited Prague before.

Read about how to spend 48 hours in Prague here.

EDIT: Unfortunately Covid-19 hit the world in March 2020 and meant that I had to cancel a trip to the Lake District with a walking group and my dad’s 60th birthday present trip to the South of France and the Monaco Grand Prix. Hopefully we’ll get this rearranged for 2021!

Beachcroft Hotel Beach Huts

The Beachcroft Hotel & Beach Hut Suites (press trip)

I’m really excited as we have booked in our first post-Covid trip – a UK staycation of course. We’ll be staying at the Beachcroft Hotel’s Beach Hut Suites and taking Alfie with us as they are dog friendly. They look incredible – so cosy yet contemporary and completely in keeping a traditional beach hut look and they’re RIGHT on the beach at Bognor Regis.

I’m looking forward to a traditional British seaside holiday with walks on the beach in the fresh sea air and then relaxing on our terrace with a glass of fizz overlooking the sea and playing cards.

We are trying one of The Sun holidays for the first time ever! We’ll be staying on a caravan park with my boyf’s family and I’m hoping we’ll be doing all the traditional British seaside things – 2p machines, bingo and fish and chips on the beach. It’s been years since I’ve stayed in a caravan and I love them – they’re so cosy! We’ll also be taking Alfie with us for a dog friendly break.

Las Vegas

USA road trip

It’s the biggie! My bestie is getting married in Vegas this year and so we’ll be heading over there and then tagging on a California road trip afterwards. This is a trip that I’ve wanted to do for quite a while (check out my USA bucket list!) and so I really can’t wait. After we’ve partied in Vegas (and I organise the best hen do ever…sorry, bachelorette party!) we’re heading to Santa Monica, Monterey, Yosemite National Park and San Francisco.

Palma de Mallorca

Traverse 20: Palma de Mallorca

On a whim I booked tickets to my first ever creator conference – Traverse 20 in the beautiful city of Palma de Mallorca. I’m really excited to take this next step into taking my blog to the next level. I used to live in Mallorca too so I’m looking forward to getting back there as I haven’t been to the island since 2012.

Do you have any suggestions of things I can’t miss in the places I’m visiting this year? Let me know in the comments.
