Honeymoon Fashion Must Buys

I got married last year as I may have mentioned once or twice! I might have been even more excited about the honeymoon than the wedding as we were off to Florida and the Bahamas two days after the ceremony. Although we were hardcore saving for the wedding, I managed to put a little bit aside for some gorgeous new buys for the honeymoon because every girl wants to look their best on their honeymoon! This guest post from Lordine from top wedding fashion and beauty blog Show the Bride showcases her top honeymoon fashion must-haves.

Last summer we had a lovely wedding in Kent and we honeymooned in the Dominican Republic. If you’re looking for somewhere to go on vacation or honeymoon, the Caribbean is perfect. As a female, I never pack light, but I thought it would be a great idea to share my honeymoon fashion essentials with you all! These are essentially beach style picks with a glamorous twist that any female can easily fall in love with!

Honeymoon Fashion Must Buy 1: Bikini

It’s important to pick a style that will complement your figure and make you feel confident! If you’d prefer a two piece, go for it! But there are so many sexy one pieces available now that you don’t have to feel pressured to bare all. These are my favourite styles for beach suits at the moment!

Honeymoon Fashion Must Buy 2: Sandals

I love a bit of sparkle on my feet when I go away. Holidays are the best time to show off your footwork! A nice pedicure just before your holiday will really compliment all of the sparkle. However, if you want something more toned down, I’ve included a compromise!

Honeymoon Fashion Must Buy 3: Floral Garland

I love floral hair garlands for beach holiday wear as well as festival wear! They are just fun but also dramatic and add a bit of glam to any outfit! Wear your hair down in loose curls and let the garland do the talking.

A cute pair of shorts is necessary! Pair with a bikini top, leotard or kaftan. Outfit sorted!

Stay cool in the sun in these amazing Prada sunglasses from Sunglass Hut. At 190 this is affordable luxury.

Honeymoon Fashion Must Buy 6: Maxi Dresses

A Maxi dress always glams up an evening meal! Throw on a lovely maxi from Missguided, some sunglasses and lipstick and you’re good to go!

Honeymoon Fashion Must Buy 7: Wedges

Wedges are more practical for beach holidays than heels. They’re more comfortable for walking and going on excursions. I love this pair!

Honeymoon Fashion Must Buy 8: Clutch Bag

In addition to your beach bag, a nice clutch is always great for a nice dinner or a night out. As long as it’s big enough to carry your lipstick, mascara and phone, you’re probably on to a winner!

Honeymoon Beauty Must Buy 1: Lipstick

As mentioned above, lipstick, lipstick, lipstick! I love brighter shades of lipstick during the Summer! Orangey reds, peachy pinks and even violet purple are perfect for Summer. Try these shades below:

Honeymoon Beauty Must Buy 2: Hydrating Serum

It’s so important to make sure your skin is being moisturised properly while you are out in the sun! This should not act as a substitute to sun cream. This serum is great for hydrating your face and reducing the look of fine lines and dehydration lines. All the ingredients used are natural, which is an extra benefit.

What about a flattering sunhat and a big (thin) soft cashmere scarf that will double up as a scarf on the airplane and a sarong by the pool?

Good shouts – even though a hat doesn’t really suit me, I sometimes have to wear one to stop my scalp burning!
