TanOrganic Self-Tanning Oil*
So Saturday rolls around and yet again it’s fake tanning time. This week I tried out the TanOrganic Self-tanning Oil.
First of all, I’m super impressed with the gorgeous packaging. The oil comes in lovely glass bottles with wooden tops which look really expensive and classy and the glass bottles are something I’ve not seen before from the usual self tan suspects
As the name would suggest, TanOrganic is certified organic and is the world’s first and only Eco-certified self tanning brand. Not only this but their products are vegan, have an ethical award and are completely cruelty free. As I get older, I’m increasingly concerned with what sort of products I use and what I’m putting into and onto my body and so this really eases all of those concerns.
Not only is this tan full of good stuff but it’s also pretty darn good. I’d never tried a tanning oil (apart from the kind that you use on the beach of course!) but I must say I was really pleasantly surprised. It’s ridiculously easy to use, just like a gradual tan but darker and you don’t even need to use a mitt (even though I did – just in case!).
It goes on a gorgeous colour and is pretty much impossible to streak as it soaks into your skin evenly. There’s not a hint of the usual fake tan whiff, instead it smells sort of fruity and exotic. From one use the colour is like a subtle golden glow, perfect for winter, but you can build up the colour over time if you want a deeper glow.
The best thing about this tan is how nourished and moisturised your skin feels once you’ve used it. I find that self tan can be quite drying but you don’t get any of those problems with this one. You end up with skin that feels silky soft, luxurious and luminous.
