Party dress wish list*
Now it’s January it’s time to start thinking about what you’re going to wear for your occasions this year. There are plenty of places that you can get new dresses from (such as these Sister Jane dresses), but finding the right one, the one that you absolutely love, can be tough. I’ve got a couple of weddings and hen dos coming up plus my best friend’s birthday weekend in Liverpool in February – all of which will need new outfits (well, hopefully!). Here’s what’s on my party dress wish list this year…
I’m obsessed with this floor-length royal blue lace long sleeved fishtail maxi dress from Quiz Clothing. It’s stunning, elegant and perfect if you have a ball to go to or another formal evening occasion. It’s also very Kate Middleton-esque and, well, if it’s good enough for royalty…
The one for weddings
Ted Baker is my go-to for when I want to spend a little bit more money on a special dress, just like my New Year’s Eve dress. One of my friends is getting married in May and I think that this Opulent Orient tulip dress is perfect for a spring wedding. Plus, it would go really nicely with my gold Michael Kors shoulder bag.
The holiday date one
If you’re going to get a bit of sun in the first half of the year (or you’re going on a sightseeing city break – check out my Rome post here), you need a dress for drinks and dinner with your bae (or your besties, of course!). This red dress from Boohoo.com is just gorgeous and embroidery is huge right now. Red isn’t usually a colour I go for but I think this one manages to avoid looking cheap.
The one that isn’t a dress
Playsuits are still really big and I don’t think they’re going anywhere any time soon. I originally went on to the In The Style website to order a velvet one that I had seen on Instagram. I actually couldn’t find that one, however several others caught my eye including this Rhianne Khaki Satin Tie Waist Playsuit – this could be the one for my best friend’s birthday!
