My travel plans 2018
Yay – it’s time for my favourite post of the year – my 2018 travel plans. I love to keep a log of what I’ve got coming up over the year and I’m going to keep it up to date throughout this year with any new trips that come up.
Darwin Forest: One of my favourite things to say is that you can travel without going thousands of miles away from home and next week we’re heading up to Darwin Forest for the weekend. This was our Christmas present from my mum and dad and I’m really excited as the whole family are going and we’re staying in a lodge with a hot tub. I’m looking forward to swimming and long walks in the day time then relaxing in the hot tub with prosecco and playing games at night time.
Australia: Ok so this is the big one – the one we’ve all been waiting for, the holiday of a lifetime! Yes, I am heading to Australia (finally) in February. We’re flying into Melbourne, then heading to Sydney and doing the East Coast road trip in a camper van all the way up to Cairns. Find out more about my epic Australia road trip here.
Portugal: In April I’m heading to Portugal for my friend’s hen do. I’m hoping it’s going to be all beach clubs, cocktails and sunbathing and…not a lot else. We’re staying in the Algarve.
At the end of April, we’re off for a staycation in Falmouth with Cornwall 365. I’m super excited because we visited Cornwall last year (the first time for me!) and absolutely loved it. We’re staying at Highcliffe Falmouth, a contemporary bed and breakfast which has a five star rating on trip Advisor. We’ll be going to Porthleven Food Festival which sounds amazing – and delicious!
We’ve booked a girls holiday in Ibiza for June! We’re staying at the Hotel Playasol Marco Polo I in San Antonio and this mini break will be full of beach clubs, Cafe Mambo, and the famous San Antonio sunset. I love Ibiza, it’s my favourite little island and this will be my fifth trip here.
I did want to fit a little holiday to Santorini in around here at some point but my diary is getting busy and it’s looking increasingly difficult!
York: As all my inner circle turn 30 this year we wanted to celebrate and so we’ve booked a lodge in York with a hot tub. I’m looking forward to plenty of prosecco, cooking meals and cosy nights in.
Portugal: It’s the annual family holiday to Portugal! You may have noticed that this is a little later this year and it’s completely my fault (sorry M and D!). Because of my hectic March, April and May (two weddings and a hen do and no, this is not a Hugh Grant film) we’ve had to move the family holiday to later on in the year. But don’t worry – you can still expect all the usual. Villa in the Algarve, BBQs and stunning beach pictures.
