My 2019 travel plans
As 2018 draws to an end and we prepare to ring in the new year, it’s time for me to write one of my favourite posts of the year as I look ahead to my travel plans for 2019. 2018 was an amazing year for me in terms of travel – I visited Australia for the first time ever and worked with some incredible brands – and hopefully 2019 is going to be even better.
I’ll keep this updated throughout the year as new trips come up but here are my 2019 travel plans…
My very first trip of 2019 will be a city break in Liverpool to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. As we’re both huge fans of The Beatles, what better place to go than to the home of the Fab Four? I’m looking forward to sight-seeing as I’ve been to Liverpool for a few nights out, but haven’t really been able to see much of the city.

The Lake District with Bumble Campers
We really enjoyed our trip to Cornwall with Bumble Campers last summer, so I’m excited to get my hands on another bright yellow camper van in February 2019. This time, my plan is to head up to the Lake District (weather permitting, of course!), climb some mountains and hang out in some cosy pubs.
Check out what we got up to on our trip to the Lake District.
Isle of Wight
I’m going to the Isle of Wight for the first time ever in March with Visit Isle of Wight. I’m looking forward to seeing the stunning scenery and going for some amazing coastal walks over the weekend.
Check out how I spent a weekend on the Isle of Wight.
I’m really excited to be visiting Venice for my 31st birthday in March. This will be my second trip to Italy after I visited and fell in love with Rome a couple of years ago. I’m looking forward to gondola rides, pizza and Prosecco!
Have a look what I got up to during my weekend in Venice.
Of course, we will be doing the annual family trip to Portugal in spring 2019. We go to the Algarve where we stay in a lovely villa and spend the week chilling out and exploring the local beaches. We subbed this trip in for a trip to Javea in 2018, so it’ll be good to go back to our second home.

London with Point A Hotels
I’ll be heading to my very favourite city London for the weekend to stay in Point A Hotels’ Liverpool Street location. This hotel is in a fantastic location and the rooms are really swish and high tech with mood lighting and free wi-fi. I literally have no plans yet for this trip to London so I’m going to see what’s going on in the city while I’m there. This Point A Hotel has also recently been refurbished which is even more exciting!
I ended up taking this trip solo, so here’s how to spend a weekend on your own in London.
Mottram Hall Hotel, Cheshire
It’s not that often that we treat ourselves to a luxury hotel stay, so when we got invited to our friends’ wedding we decided that we would stay over at the gorgeous Mottram Hall in Cheshire, where the wedding is, instead of booking into the nearby Travelodge. I’m looking forward to a couple of cheeky hours in the spa and a delicious breakfast.
The Algarve with Clickstay
We are heading back to our second home in the Algarve to stay in Villa Amarelo, an amazing Clickstay villa with a private pool. This is the other side of the Algarve from where we usually visit, so I’m looking forward to exploring a new patch. I’ve also heard that there’s a ferry to nearby island Armona, so we’ll hopefully be taking a day trip over there. We’re also hiring a car for the trip, so this will be my first time driving in Portugal – wish me luck!

One of my boy’s best friends is getting married in October and we will be staying over at The Belfry Hotel. I’m super excited for it as there is a spa and a restaurant which looks lovely. Oh, and the wedding of course!
