I cannot believe it. The saving is pretty much over. We have enough money to pay for our wedding and now all that’s left to save is our spending money for the honeymoon (Florida and the Bahamas in case you were wondering!) and so my spending embargo is lifted.
To celebrate, I took a trip to Meadowhall with M and D. The primary purpose of the trip was to purchase my wedding underwear. Well, objective achieved but I’m not showing you – it’s a secret until the big day of course!
So while there, I took the opportunity to look for some clothes for honeymoon. It’s pretty much the perfect timing to go holiday shopping – all the sales are on, getting ready to make way for winter clothes – so you can really bag a bargain with summer stuff.
Whilst you wouldn’t want to stock up on clothes during the sales – most things are out of fashion and that’s why there in the sale – bikinis and sandals are pretty standard fare and so the sales are a great time to buy these sorts of things. And, of course, I couldn’t resist a couple of pieces!
I’m a sucker for an embellished collar so I picked up this chiffon shirt from Ted Baker. I had a voucher left over from Christmas which was pretty much burning a hole in my pocket, so I was pleased to get it spent!
A little summer dress. This one is perfect from throwing on over a bikini, for strolling round in the day time or for a relaxed dinner and cocktails in the evening. I love bold prints and colours and you can definitely get away with them on holiday – the bolder the better!
Spotted these from across the isle and was immediately smitten by the little heart detail – so adorable!
