The ins and outs of planning an extended trip to explore the world*
I am a travel addict and proud; there I’ve said it. Anytime I see a travel destination advertised, I then develop an obsession with wanting to go there. I love to travel; it’s one of the best things about being an adult. Being able to travel here, there and everywhere whenever you want to is a massive perk of growing up. At least, I think so anyway.
As a travel lover, I’ve often dreamed of traveling the world in one big trip. I’ve been to lots of places but so far I haven’t done a round-the-world trip. However, I’ve done lots of research into it and what it would entail. In case you’re planning a round-the-world trip (or an extended travel trip), I thought I would share all the most important info with you. Take this on board and you can ensure that your trip is the most amazing experience.
Choose who you’ll travel with
The first step is to choose who you will travel with. You might have always talked about going traveling with your BFF, sister, or as part of a larger group, and can’t wait to make that dream a reality. Or, you may be desperate to get out there and explore but don’t have anyone to go with. Don’t let the fact that you’d be travelling alone put you off; I know it’s scary, but you’ll make friends while you travel. So the chances are, even if you go alone, you’ll soon have a fantastic group of travel buddies to spend your time with.
Map out a route
Once you’ve decided who you’re going to travel with or if you’re going to go it alone, the next step is to map your route. Start off by getting an idea of all the places that you and your travel buddies, if you have any, want to go. Make sure to take into account all the best bucket list holiday destinations, to ensure that you don’t miss anywhere worth a visit. Write a list of all the places that you decide to go to and then work out what order to visit each place. Be smart about the order so that you do the least amount of traveling possible.
Decide how long to go for
The next question that you need to answer is how long you’re going to go for. You might already know the answer to this, or you may be unsure about how long you want to travel for. Take your time working this out, to make sure that the time you choose will work well. The amount of time that you travel for will most probably depend on the amount of money that you have saved. However, if money is short, you could always opt to work while you travel so that you can travel for longer.
Get your plane tickets, accommodation and visas sorted
Finally, get your plane tickets, accommodation and visas sorted. Before booking your tickets, apply for visas for each country that requires one. Make sure to get the right visa, as in, if you plan on working get a working visa. This is important, as if you don’t it can cause all sorts of problems for you while you’re abroad. Speaking of getting a visa, even if there is so much to do when it comes to planning this holiday, don’t put off attending a italian visa appointment new york, for example, as this will help the visa application process go a lot smoother. If you’re planning on stopping off in America for some time, you’ll definitely need a visa. To help you out, you might want to read this article here to see how you should go about getting your American visa. Each country will have a different visa policy though, so be sure to research that beforehand. Who knows, maybe you will enjoy this country that much that you decide to move there on a permanent basis? This can be relatively easy if it’s just you going and you have a job already lined up, as things can become more complicated if you have a spouse and children. But it doesn’t have to be this way. There are different types of Visas that the spouse and children of the employed person are entitled to, such as the H4 Visa. And there are many things that you can do whilst on this, as long as your partner has a valid Visa. That is why it is so important to do your research before travelling, as a holidaymaker or as a person seeking a new residence.
When booking your tickets, it will most probably be cheapest to buy a round-the-world plane ticket that lets you fly anywhere. However, take the time to compare your options. As for your accommodation, you don’t have to book it all at once but at least book somewhere to stay for the first couple of nights in each new place.
There you go, everything that you need to know about planning a trip around the world. Take the above tips and advice on board and you can have the most amazing time exploring each corner of the globe.
