Hair care hamper from Harley Street Hair*
Summer really takes it out of your hair – the hot weather (well – as much of it as we’ve had anyway!), going out more and so washing it more, and swimming in the swimming pool/sea. I recently got sent a lovely hair care hamper from Harley Street Hair to look after my tresses. Harley Street Hair are a hair transplant company with celeb clients like Wayne Rooney.
The hamper contained four professional standard shampoos, so here are my quick fire reviews of each of them…
1. Korres shampoo for fine hair
This is my favourite shampoo of the whole hamper. In fact, I love it so much I’m even taking it to Skiathos with me on holiday on Friday. My hair is super thin so wherever possible I try to use a thickening shampoo and this is definitely one of the best I’ve ever tried. You can literally feel it thickening your hair as you massage it in. I don’t know too much about the product but I do know that it doesn’t contain any animal by-products and it’s not tested on animals either but it does contain rice proteins and linden.
2. Phytojoba Intense Hydration Shampoo
This rich shampoo has the best fragrance out of all of the ones from the hamper – it smells really fresh and a little bit fruity. It’s super hydrating which is great for the summer if your hair gets really dry in hot weather – think Monica from Friends. It contains ingredients like cornflower, coconut oil and jojoba oil.
3. Sacha Juan Ocean Mist Volume Shampoo
If your tresses are somewhat limp and lifeless then this could be the product for you. The brand’s signature Ocean Silk technology is all over this – this product is inspired by their famous Ocean Mist spritz. The shampoo contains marine algae extracts which help to enhance strand strength, suppleness and shine.
4. Klorane Shampoo with citrus pulp
This lovely product is the one that I’m currently using and it’s perfect for radiance and vitality – it restores dull and lacklustre hair. This shampoo smells really botanical and you can tell it’s packed full of good ingredients like provitamin B5 and citrus extract. The only thing that I’m not keen on with this is that my hair is really knotty and, if I don’t use conditioner (don’t judge me – it was the end of the month and money was tight!), then it’s really difficult to brush through.
