Botanicals Revitalising Mask review*
I love natural skincare brands and I have already tried a couple of products from Botanicals, one of the leading names in the organic skincare industry. I was really excited when I received Botanicals Revitalising Mask as, during summer (as with winter!), my skin needs a little extra care – the heat and sun can lead to dryness or redness – so it’s nice to give it a bit of a treat.
Botanicals Revitalising Mask comes as part of their Nourish face care range, which also include an exfoliating cleanser and an anti-ageing serum, and its hero ingredient is the anti-oxidant rich rosehip oil. Rosehip oil is loved by consumers with the Duchess of Cambridge, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow and Rosie Huntington-Whitely all being huge fans of the ingredient. Rosehip oil stimulates cell renewal and regeneration and is high in retinol and vitamins C and E, helping to improve skin flexibility.
I love giving my skin a proper pamper on a weekend and I often like to sleep in a face mask so I tried out Botanicals Revitalising Mask one weekend. The first thing I loved about it was its application. It’s not thick and gloopy like some face masks which are difficult to spread around, it smooths on easily. Its texture kind of reminds me of the suntan oil that comes in a pot rather than a spray, after it has melted a little bit in the sun.
The mask left me with super smooth skin and brightened my complexion. I definitely felt as if my skin had been renewed a little bit as the mask helps to remove dead skin cells and nourish the lower layers of the skin which leaves your face lovely and soft. I also love the smell of the product, it’s really natural, fresh and soothing.
