#BloggersLunch at Pizza Express
So last weekend I headed to London for the #BloggersLunch and what would prove to be one of the busiest (and blogging packed!) weekends of my entire life so far. On Saturday morning I was up early, bright eyed and bushy tailed, after a (cheeky) Nandos and an early night on Friday, and made my way on the tube to Victoria for the #BloggersLunch at Pizza Express.
The #BloggersLunch proved a perfect opportunity to get to know some other bloggers before heading over to the #BloggersFestival. It’s always nerve wracking when you go to these events (and there were lots of “I’m so nervous!” twitter messages beforehand!) and you don’t know anyone so this was a perfect ice breaker. Luckily I already knew Charlotte from Discovering Charlotte from the last East Midlands Meet Up, so although I was a little nervous, this put me at ease. I found her plus Holly from The Holly Days and Judith from The Wee Blondie in Zara.
Obviously the food at the #BloggersLunch was delicious, as pizza is my fave, and I went for carb overload of cheesy garlic bread followed by a fiorentina pizza and, of course, a glass of wine. There were also cute homemade favours with white chocolate inside which, unfortunately Alfie ate when I got home (but that’s a whole other story). The best thing about bloggers is that as soon as you all meet, you literally become BFFs for the day and there was never a quiet moment with 20 girls all catching up and sharing stories. Obviously the usual topics came up – what cameras everyone uses, what sorts of posts people write, how we all feel about monetising our blogs. The only shame was that, because there were so many bloggers there, I didn’t get to chat to everyone, but I’m sure I will next time I’m at a London event!
It was the perfect start to the day and once we had filled our tummies, we set off towards the #BloggersFestival, probably the most fashionable (and biggest) group of bloggers in London that day.
Thanks to Jasmine and Kirsty from Soeurs De Luxe and Holly from The Holly Days for organising the #BloggersLunch.
