An amalgamation of posts…

Once again, it has been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been too busy sunbathing, getting drunk and partying. It’s a hard life.So this post will be all the fashion and beauty news from the last month and a half, an amalgamation of posts, if you will!

1. Fringe Benefits.
It’s taken me forever to get into the wild western cowboy inspired fringing trend. I first saw it appearing in shops in February and I have to admit at first I wasn’t keen. However, now I just can’t get enough of it! Inspired by Company magazine, I have even created two fringed vests myself, one in black and one in white. I am usually terrible at everything I put my hand to, however I found this really easy. First of all, cut the hem off the bottom of the vest. Then cut strips a quarter of an inch wide from the bottom to wherever you want them, you can make the vest into a crop fringed vest or a long one depending on your personal style. Make sure you cut the back and the front at the same time. Then twist and pull the strips and there you have it – the Blue Peter style approach to fashion! I have actually got really into customising my clothes, probably inspired by the more laid back approach to fashion in Mallorca, mainly due to the hot weather. I’ve been making vests out of every t-shirt, simply cutting off the sleeves and collar, I’ve even made lots of them for my boyfriend!

As well as the vests I’ve also invested in fringe bandeau tops, one in every colour (coral, lemon, jade and white) and shorts with fringing down the side, in a grey suede material, all from Bershka who have clearly embraced the fringing trend as much as I have!

2. Cost Benefit Analysis

I usually use DKNY Women, however, I decided on their summer fragrance when it was time to buy a new perfume mainly because it was 10 Euros cheaper and it came in a pretty pink bottle. And it is summer after all (well for a few more days at least). I discovered that I actually love it. It smells like a handful of berries (strawberries, blackcurrents, raspberries, blackberries) and is perfect for barbecues, picnics, pool parties, boat trips…in fact any summer occasion!
I love the feeling of new make up on my skin, so the 100 euros I spent on six new items was more than well worth it! First on my hit list was a trip to my favourite, Benefit. I love their products because of the high quality and adorable packaging. Here I quickly decided on a new highlighter High Beam, new primer That Gal! and new They’re Real! mascara. The mascara is about a million times better than my usual Benefit Waterproof one and it really does make it look as if im wearing falsies! The only problem is, it’s an absolute nightmare to get off, but that does mean you can get away without reapplying for the beach and it is pretty much smudge proof. yours here now!
