10 reasons why living on your own is awesome

Living on your own
Recently I’ve been going through some big life changes which has meant that I’m now living on my own. Although it wasn’t my choice to live on my own, I’ve actually been enjoying it a lot more than I ever thought I would. So here are my top 10 reasons why living on your own is awesome…

1. Your house stays so clean

Even if you don’t clean (and to be honest I haven’t for a while – it’s on my to-do list for this afternoon!), your house just stays looking really clean if you’re living on your own – there’s no glasses and mugs lying around everywhere, the pots get cleaned straight away and the toilet seat stays down. Bliss.

2. You can watch whatever you want on the TV

Forget about having to compromise with something you both like – watch whatever you want! America’s Next Top Model, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Geordie Shore – yes, they’re rubbish but who cares?!

3. There’s more me time

There’s a lot more time to concentrate on yourself – whether it’s working on your blog, or even just having a relaxing bath.

4. You can eat whatever you want

And you’ll probably lose weight as you’ll have a more healthy diet – forget Netflix and snacking, now it’s all about stir frys and juicing.

5. You can do whatever you want with the spare room

No longer will you be arguing over whether it’s going to be a man cave or a dressing room – get that shoe collection moved in.

6. There’s no one to answer to

So come and go as you please – you don’t have to let anyone know where you are or what time you’ll be home.

7. More space in the wardrobe

8. Decorate however you want

You no longer have to balance things with another person’s tastes.

9. You can be really selfish. In every single way.

10. You can have whoever you want round whenever you want.

And if you don’t want anyone there, you can be alone.

[…] It’s kind of morbid but you’re going to have to get used to it.
